DAVACO Sponsors 8th Annual Excellence in Merchandising Competition
Winners Announced at Fashion Group International’s Dallas Career Day 2014
Dallas, TX (April 10, 2014) – DAVACO, Inc. (www.davacoinc.com), the North American leader of high-volume programs and implementation services for global brands, is pleased to announce the company's participation in the 46th Annual
Career Day 2014, which will be held on April 11, 2014 at the Dallas Market Center's World Trade Center. Career Day,
hosted by Fashion Group International of Dallas, is an educational outreach program for college and university students
seeking careers in the fashion and lifestyle industries. It is the largest and longest-running event of its kind in the country,
with over 1,200 students and faculty members from 40 colleges and universities across 12 states.
For the eighth year in a row, DAVACO will sponsor the Excellence in Merchandising Competition, which recognizes
outstanding performance by students in merchandising, marketing, branding and promotion at the retail level. This year,
DAVACO has partnered with Havaianas (www.us.havaianas.com), a designer and manufacturer of luxury flip flops and
sandals, to provide students with a rare, "hands-on" experience merchandising an international brand. DAVACO will
award scholarships to the winners of this competition.
